What a long, strange trip it’s been. I just worked nine, freakin’ days in a row and during that time had five community meetings and lots and lots of emails, phone calls, and other committee stuff to attend to. I’m pooped. And this is why I haven’t called anyone back, written on the ol’ blog, [...]

I woke up and immediately asked for coffee. Then I was told that I was a blanket-hog all night. Yes, there is a chill in the air… it was only 53 degrees when I woke up this morning. This caused the boys to sleep longer than usual. Each of them was wrapped tight in their [...]

“Hello, Universe? It’s me, again. What exactly you are trying to tell me?”
I have no idea what’s in the message but I’ve taken the call(ing) to heart and, boy-oh-boy, am I payin’ attention! I had the oddest, oogly-boogly moment yesterday.

Ah… you know it is fall in New Mexico when the early morning skies are filled with hot air balloons, the grocery stores have large butane tanks and chili roasting cages, kids are back in school (Hallelujah!), and the state fairgrounds are used for the state fair versus a swap meet/horse racing gig.
It’s also the [...]

It’s raining. All evening, S has been asking me if I can hear the rain and I couldn’t. It was a soft, light rain. Right now it’s pouring and coming down so hard that I can no longer hear the rain; I can only hear the water pouring off the roof and pounding onto the [...]
