Just a quick reminder that tonight is a blue moon.
So, all of those things that you only do “Once in a Blue Moon” are now due.
Also, Smurfette will be out galavanting… much to Gargamoyle’s chagrin.

Summer vacation started last Saturday with a whole bunch of chores. We completely replanted the front garden and moved/cleaned the volcanic rock. We then pulled out a whole bunch of mint plants and have been giving them away to anyone who will take them. We still have plenty of mint to make a fine sun-tea.
This [...]

My first summer in New Mexico was so strange to me. The light was different than anything I’d experienced in California. It was bright and hot and brown and dusty. My first recollection of Albuquerque is of those ubiquitous orange barrels. I had expected there to be many little Mexican dudes; each with a colorful [...]

To the person who Googled and asked whether or not your dog would be okay because he/she drank your coffee: Don’t sweat it. Lulu loves coffee and Mojo will do just about anything for a cuppa. It certainly does not, however, improve their breath. Lulu, the dog with taste, loves the robust, [...]

Yep, Yep, Yep; my last posting was May 19th… (QofD!) I’ve been very busy putting together a presentation, buying new undergarments, sending out information for a background check for a job, and just generally hangin’ out and reading information about school bus safety and my little project. Although… my mom took me to lunch yesterday [...]

It has been absolutely gorgeous here in New Mexico. The mornings are crisp and clean from evening thunderstorms. I haven’t had to water all week and the ground is moist and pliant allowing me to pluck weeds with ease. Afternoons are warm, sunny, and watching the anvil-shaped, thunderhead clouds roll in is an ominous delight. [...]

I’ve been giggling about this all morning. I got an email from Hillary… um, Clinton, well, more specifically, from Patty Solis Doyle her campaign manager. It seems there is a pressing issue that will definitely affect the entire United States of America.Hillary needs a theme song for her campaign. After I finished laughing, I had thoughts [...]

I’ve often wondered what would happen if the skin peeled on my tattoo. Would the peel be black? I now have the answer: no, it doesn’t peel black unless it’s a microscopic black and I can’t see it without the help of a microscope. I’m so tempted to get out the microscope and look but [...]

The swamp coolers are up and running. How cool is that? Quite, actually. Yes, I said coolersssssss ’cause I set-up my mom’s cooler, too. I have just one thing to say about that: “Handymen can take the things apart and put them back together (sorta; they were both missing quite a few screws) but they [...]

It is an absolutely gorgeous day here in the Duke City. It rained yesterday (Thank God; my allergies were killing me!) and today everything is fresh-as-a-daisy clean. The sky is soft blue and dotted with a few clouds that look like they might organize into a small shower or two but, other than that, it [...]
